Chateau of Chateauneuf en Auxois
We make our 2 1/2 hr drive in the long lost sunshine and arrive with beautiful weather for a walk in the woods. The cabin that my parents rented when they were first married was only a mile or so around here. After driving through the area I have come to the conclusion that they have built up the area with more modern housing and I doubt that their cabin is stills standing.
Monuments at des Fusilles Arbonne-la-Foret
L'obelisque de Fontainebleau de Marie Antoinette
After we visited the monuments we drove to our next campground in Veneux Le Sablons and then went out to find some lunch which of course wasn't easy in these small towns on a Sunday. While driving around we came across a cute little medieval village called Moret Sur Loing and found a restaurant there. They were having an antique car rally and while walking to the restaurant they rolled right by.
The restaurant was la Porte de Bourgogne and they only served a buffet which we're normally not big fans of but it was all that was open. It was here that I got rabbit for a second time on the trip. This meal wasn't anything to write home about and I wouldn't recommend it.
By the time we were ready to leave the heavens opened up and let loose. We were drenched by the time we made it the 3 block back the RV. Tomorrow we will be visiting the Chateau Fontainbleau on our last day before hitting Paris.
