City of Light Day 1

We started our day by returning the RV in Lagney sur Marne. Again we had to wait for the only English speaker which took about 45 minutes. After dealing with them about a chip in the windshield that happened on the motorway. We had to pay 150eu on a credit card and sign papers saying that if they had to replace it instead of just repairing it they could charge the same credit card. They must have obviously gotten it repaired since we have yet to receive an e-mail or bill for a replacement. Thank goodness, actually the 150 was much cheaper then I was expecting so that was a good thing.

We then got a taxi into the city and 90eu later we are at our apartment in Montparnasse. The taxi driver couldn't double park in front of the apartment so he parked across the boulevard and we got to drag all of our luggage through the pigeon poop under the trees. Oh wonderful. But when we walked in and saw this wonderful view the pigeon poop was forgotten.

Lunch time was almost over so we dropped our bags and ran out to check out the neighborhood. Had a lack luster lunch at Cafe La Forge and were back out into the city again. Stopped at a local grocery store to stock up on a few things and then back to the apartment and hung out for the great sunset view.

 Les Invalades

Mark made stuffed puff pastry and broiled baby potatoes.

This cake looked so scrumptious we had to get it. Wished it had tasted as good as it looked.

Champagne provided by the apartment owner.

We got to fall asleep looking at the E.T. and seemed to wake up every hour when it would put on it's twinkling show. I had to pinch myself to believe I wasn't dreaming.
