We have nothing special planned so we just walked around the town and hit up our favorites for espresso and then our morning pastries and shop for some of the local delicacies to take home. We soon found some bottled anchovies, locally grown Olive oil and balsamic vinegar though it's not aged like I wanted to purchase in Modena.
These apes were everywhere in the area. They must be easy to manage on their tiny curvy roads
Mark in the square with orange tree's in the background
Lemon trees, some people had tables set up by their house 10 lemons for 1 eu
More of the gorgeous Wisteria
Then we had cocktails and and an appetiser at a beach side bar.
Sporting our new sunglasses purchased on clearance, gotta love a great sale
Bruschetta with Brie and Olive Oil so yummy
We then went down the road for Focaccia that Angelo highly recommended
We loved Levanto and hopefully we'll make it back someday. Something of interest that you don't hear about is the calm being broken by loud crashing glass. Throughout the day everyday the trash trucks would go around emptying all of the recyle containers of glass. Imagine hundreds of glass bottles falling onto eachother as they are lifted up into the air and emptied into the back of a tiny trash truck and you would hear this as they progressed down the street and back up the next. We would just tell eachother what comes in must go out and laugh about it.
